Do not cry, for I’m not really gone… just my name!
I might not live to see your stride,
But in your sparkling eyes, I would reside!
When you’d want to gossip at night,
Look at the stars; I’ll be right beside!
When you hear my voice,
& look around for my presence;
Sense within & rejoice,
In there, I leave my essence!
If you remember my jokes,
Laugh - it was meant for your smile, folks!
While you miss me in a celebration,
Sing & dance, that’s what I would have done!
When you need me at times tough,
for an advice good enough,
yeah well… I accept I was pretty smart ;)
To you now, I pass on the art!
When I’m gone, keep going,
With your every step I‘ll be moving!
Do know, you were a gift to my life,
& parting, cuts like a knife!
But we cannot elude this exile,
Lets meet it up with a smile!
Do not hold on to my things,
That’s not where my being clings;
Its in new rays, new springs,
In a soaring bird’s wings!
Keep my love as a souvenir in your heart,
& you'd never know I’m apart!
Do not mourn that I did'nt survive,
'Coz as long as you live, I’am alive!

Just that, what i wanted to write was, the narrator is telling his/her loved one's, "I would be addressed by my name as gone, by the world.. but I'm there with you" Aisa kuch.. :)

Helloooo....dee...The poem is awesome.I also read "Payback time" and the next thing I did was call my Dad up.It was really soul stirring.
