Birdy

A little bird hatches from the egg,
totally oblivious to the world ahead!
Blinks her eyes, looks around,
Listening to the unknown sounds!

Then she see's a face so loving,
Calls her my baby, my darling!
She feels that touch & feels so blessed;
the experience is beyond words to express!

Then comes a face, a little stern,
but the eyes only shower love in turn!
She's taken in those strong arms,
& she knows she'll never face any harms!

She keeps growing under that strong roof,
well fed, well kept & well groomed!
Learning her lessons at her pace,
watching her folks lovely face!

There had been joy; there had been tears,
Lots of fun & some fears!
Time just flies with leaps & sprints,
leaving behind only foot prints!

And then comes a day she knows,
when she's got to fly alone.....
Though loving, but leaving the rest,
the bird flows away to make her nest!!!
